Hyderabad: BJP MP D.K. Aruna on Monday slammed Telangana Congress president Mahesh Kumar Goud for alleging that the BJP’s eight Lok Sabha victories were due to bogus votes. She dared the Congress to prove its claim if it had the courage to back the accusation.
Addressing reporters, Aruna called the allegation “laughable” and accused the Congress of long relying on fake votes to win elections. “They remember bogus votes only when they lose,” she said. She noted that both BJP and Congress won eight seats each in Telangana. “So why question only our victories?” she asked.
D.K. Aruna bogus votes rebuttal also targets CM Revanth Reddy
Aruna claimed Mahesh Kumar Goud was under pressure from both Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Congress high command, and that this stress was leading him to make “baseless and desperate” statements. She further accused the Congress government of betraying Backward Classes after promising 42% reservations.
“If Congress truly supports weaker sections, it should remove Revanth Reddy and appoint Mahesh Kumar Goud as Chief Minister,” she said. According to Aruna, power has gone to the Congress leadership’s head, resulting in reckless political remarks.
