Hyderabad: DRI officers seized 12 kilograms of hydroponic ganja worth ₹12 crore at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad.
Officials said the Hyderabad zonal team stopped two Indian passengers who came from Dubai. During checks, they found green packets with a sticky substance inside. Tests proved it was hydroponic ganja.

From one traveller’s bag, officers took 6 kilograms of the drug. They found another 6 kilograms in a woman passenger’s luggage. In total, the haul weighed 12 kilograms with an estimated value of ₹12 crore.
DRI officers arrested one passenger under the NDPS Act, 1985. They launched a probe to find the supply chain and those behind the smuggling.
