HYDERABAD: A fresh drug scandal has rocked the city, with a significant quantity of narcotics seized near Sharath City Mall under the jurisdiction of Gachibowli police station. The operation was conducted by the Ranga Reddy District Task Force, which reportedly confiscated the substances from the son of a former Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh.
According to sources, when the District Task Force team attempted to detain the suspect, a heated argument ensued between the officers and the individual in question. The authorities are currently investigating where the drugs were sourced from and to whom they were intended to be supplied.
Given the suspect’s high-profile background, the investigation is being conducted discreetly. However, officials from Gachibowli police and the Sherilingampally excise department claimed they had not yet received any formal information about the seizure.
Further details regarding the incident, including the exact type and quantity of drugs recovered, are awaited as the investigation unfolds.
