Hyderabad: A 20-year-old woman died and five others sustained injuries in a road accident at Langar Houz in Hyderabad on Sunday morning. The incident occurred near Langar Houz Dargah while police were managing traffic for Ganesh idol immersions.
According to police, a car carrying two men and three women rammed into the vehicle of Detective Inspector Satyanarayana, who was on duty at the time. Investigators confirmed that the occupants of the car were under the influence of alcohol. Liquor bottles were found inside the vehicle.
The deceased, identified as Kashvi (20), died on the spot. Two other passengers sustained critical injuries and were shifted to a local hospital. Three constables in the police vehicle also suffered minor injuries.
Langar Houz police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
