Hyderabad: A shocking incident was reported in Suryapet district, where a man allegedly killed his one-year-old daughter in a fit of rage under the influence of alcohol.
Drunk father throws infant in Suryapet
Police said the accused, identified as Venkatesh, often came home drunk and quarreled with his wife. On Friday midnight, after returning home intoxicated, his wife reprimanded him. At the same time, their 12-month-old daughter Bhavigna began crying.
In a sudden outburst of anger, Venkatesh allegedly grabbed the infant by her legs and threw her down. The child suffered severe injuries.
Infant succumbs in hospital
Family members rushed the girl to a nearby hospital. However, doctors said she died while undergoing treatment.
Police registered a case and began investigation.
