HYDERABAD: The EAPCET 2025 examinations for admissions into engineering, agriculture, and pharmacy colleges commenced today across Telangana. The EAPCET Convenor, B. Dean Kumar, issued a set of crucial instructions for students ahead of the exams.
He emphasised that under no circumstances would candidates be allowed into the examination centre even if they were late by a single minute. He advised students to reach their exam centres at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time to avoid any last-minute issues.
Dean Kumar also clarified that electronic items such as smart watches, calculators, and mobile phones are strictly prohibited at the examination venues.
To assist candidates travelling to the test centres, particularly those in remote locations, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (RTC) has arranged additional buses on relevant routes. Dean Kumar urged candidates to make use of these services.
A total of 3,06,796 applications were received for the Telangana EAPCET this year. Of these, 2,20,049 are for the engineering stream, while 86,493 are for agriculture and pharmacy. Additionally, 254 candidates applied for both streams.
For the agriculture and pharmacy exams, 112 centres have been set up, while the engineering exams—scheduled from May 2 to 4—will be conducted across 124 centres.
The exams are being held in two sessions: the morning session from 9 AM to 12 PM, and the afternoon session from 3 PM to 6 PM.
In a first-of-its-kind initiative, EAPCET 2025 hall tickets include a printed QR code. This QR code enables candidates to access a route map to their designated exam centre, helping them arrive on time without confusion.
