Hyderabad: BJP MP Eatala Rajender on Monday welcomed the Telangana government’s decision to hand over the Kaleshwaram project probe to the CBI, saying it was the only way to expose irregularities.
Government tables Ghose report
The Congress government recently presented the 665-page Ghose Commission report on the Kaleshwaram project in the Assembly. Following heated debates between the ruling and opposition benches, the government resolved to refer the case to the CBI.
Eatala hails move, slams state report
Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, Eatala Rajender said the decision was long overdue. “This is a good step. They knew they could not handle it, that their report was flawed and would not stand scrutiny. To disown it, they finally opted for a CBI probe,” he remarked.
‘CBI will reveal the truth’
The BJP leader expressed confidence that the CBI would conduct a thorough investigation into the alleged corruption. “We are fully assured that the CBI inquiry will bring out all the irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project,” he said.
