Hyderabad: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday attached assets worth ₹3,083 crore belonging to Anil Ambani’s Reliance Group. The action came under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Officials said the seized properties lie in Hyderabad and several other cities.
The agency issued the attachment order on October 31. It covered 42 properties linked to companies under the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group. These include holdings of Reliance Infrastructure Limited and Poly Hill Residency and Properties.

In Hyderabad, ED teams traced the offices of Reliance Infrastructure and Poly Hill Residency. They also sealed two apartments in Camus Capri on Raj Bhavan Road, Somajiguda. In addition, investigators found assets in Andhra Pradesh’s East Godavari district.
Meanwhile, other teams acted in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Chennai, and Kanchipuram. They located and secured several major properties owned by the group.
According to ED officials, the Reliance companies diverted public money through complex transactions. These firms include Reliance Communications, Reliance Home Finance, Reliance Commercial Finance, Reliance Infrastructure, and Reliance Power. Consequently, the companies now owe ₹19,694 crore to various banks. Many of their assets have already turned into non-performing assets (NPAs).
