Hyderabad: Actor Vijay Deverakonda has been summoned again by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the high-profile betting app promotion case that has rocked both Telugu states.
Sources said Deverakonda is to appear before the ED on August 11. This marks the second time he has been called in for questioning, following an earlier appearance regarding his involvement in promoting betting applications.
The Telangana police had earlier taken a firm stance on celebrities endorsing such platforms, initiating cases and investigations against those involved.
With the ED now stepping in, the case has taken a new turn. Notices have been issued to several film personalities linked to the controversial promotions.
Deverakonda is among the prominent names reportedly associated with one such app. Further details on the ED’s line of inquiry remain confidential.
