HYDERABAD: BRS MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy became emotional while addressing the Telangana Assembly on Tuesday. Expressing gratitude for his political journey, he said, “When I die, my mortal remains will be covered with the national flag. Only a few are honored with such a privilege, and I am fortunate to have received it.”
Prashanth Reddy credited BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao for his political career, stating that he became an MLA three times under KCR’s leadership. He also served as the Vice Chairman of Mission Bhagiratha for four years and as a Minister for five years.
“I have worked to the best of my abilities with the strength given to me by God,” he said. However, he expressed frustration over frequent interruptions during his speech in the Assembly, urging the Speaker to ensure a smooth discussion.
His emotional remarks follow the recent comments made by Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy during a media interaction and a previous Assembly session. Prashanth Reddy admitted that these statements had deeply affected him, leading to his strong reaction in the House.
