HYDERABAD: Former minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao has claimed that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy may soon be expelled from the Congress Party due to internal conflicts.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, Errabelli alleged that dissatisfaction is growing within the Telangana Congress, with around 25 MLAs reportedly unhappy with Revanth Reddy’s leadership. He further predicted that by-elections would soon take place in at least ten constituencies due to the deepening crisis.
Errabelli also criticised Revanth Reddy for allegedly managing ‘Munshis’ (middlemen) and attempting to gain favour with Rahul Gandhi to secure his position. He asserted that Reddy’s recent attacks on former Chief Minister KCR and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were merely efforts to impress the Congress high command.
He further claimed that the Chief Minister’s visit to Delhi was driven by fear, as he sought Rahul Gandhi’s support to retain his leadership role. However, there has been no official response from the Congress regarding these allegations.
