South Central Railway officers rushed repair teams to the site as soon as they learned of the fault. The teams tried to fix the issue on the spot but could not restart the engine. Officials then arranged another locomotive and sent it to Miryalaguda.
Workers removed the damaged engine and attached the replacement. The process took about two hours. At 9:30 a.m., the train resumed its journey toward Secunderabad. Railway staff confirmed that all passengers were safe and comfortable after the change.
Officials said a minor electrical fault likely caused the failure. They ordered an internal review to identify the reason and to prevent future breakdowns on the route.
