Hyderabad: Security agencies halted the Falaknuma Express at Ghatkesar railway station on Friday morning after intelligence inputs warned of suspected terrorists onboard.
The train, traveling from Kolkata to Secunderabad, reached Ghatkesar at 9.50 a.m. Railway Protection Force (RPF) teams, acting on the alert, entered the compartments and launched detailed checks.

RPF personnel questioned passengers and inspected baggage for nearly an hour. They found no terrorists and allowed the train to resume its journey at 11 a.m.
Police said they detected no suspicious persons or items during the search. Passengers and officers both breathed a sigh of relief. Authorities declared the call a hoax.
The one-hour halt caused trouble for passengers, particularly children, who struggled in the heat. The delay pushed the train’s arrival at Secunderabad railway station past schedule.
