Hyderabad: A farmer died and another sustained critical injuries in a road accident on National Highway 365 in Mahabubabad district on Sunday morning. The incident occurred near Jagannagulagudem Crossroad in Gudur mandal as the two were on their way to collect urea fertilizer tokens.
According to locals, the victims identified as Banothu Lally and Dharavath Veeranna from Dubbagudem village were traveling on a motorcycle to the Rythu Vedika in Boddugonda village. A Bolero vehicle traveling from Mahabubabad to Gudur rammed their bike at the Jagannagulagudem crossroads.
Mahabubabad road accident claims one farmer’s life
Banothu Lally died on the spot due to the impact. Veeranna suffered serious injuries and is in critical condition. Gudur Circle Inspector Suryaprakash, who reached the spot promptly, rushed the injured man to Mahabubabad Area Hospital in his official vehicle.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are examining the circumstances that led to the collision.
