HYDERABAD: A horrific road accident occurred on National Highway-44 (NH-44) near Chanda Tea Bypass in Adilabad early on Sunday at 4:20 AM, resulting in the death of two drivers and injuries to ten passengers.
According to reports, an Eicher van traveling from Adilabad towards Maharashtra suffered a tire burst, causing it to lose control and crash into the divider. The impact damaged its indicator lights, leaving it unmarked in the middle of the road.
Moments later, a Kanker Travels bus traveling from Hyderabad to Jabalpur approached at high speed and collided with the van. The bus driver and an additional driver onboard died on the spot, while ten passengers sustained serious injuries.
Police and Medical Response
Upon receiving information, police rushed to the accident site and launched a rescue operation. The bodies of the deceased were recovered, and the injured passengers were shifted to Adilabad RIMS Hospital for treatment. Doctors confirmed that most of the injured sustained minor injuries and are in stable condition.
A case has been registered, and police have started an investigation into the accident.
