Hyderabad: Student suicides continue to haunt Telangana’s residential Gurukuls, with the latest case reported from Armoor town where a second-year Intermediate student died by suicide Saturday morning.

The student, identified as 17-year-old Gaddam Santosh from Arepalli village in Nizamsagar mandal, was enrolled at the Armoor Gurukul College.

According to hostelmates, Santosh woke up as usual, interacted with peers, and stepped out after finishing his morning routine. Moments later, he was found hanging from a tree near the premises.

This marks the fifth student suicide reported from Telangana’s Gurukuls in the past four days. Eight such deaths have occurred so far this year.

Police are yet to confirm the full circumstances around the incident. Further details are awaited.
