Hyderabad: A major fire broke out at a rubber factory in Katedan area early Thursday morning. No casualties were reported.
According to officials, the unit was involved in producing car mats and other rubber-based goods. Fire personnel from nearby stations responded swiftly after being alerted, and firefighting operations were launched.
The Mailardevpally police and Disaster Response Force (DRF) teams also reached the spot. Heavy smoke was seen rising from the premises, prompting authorities to cordon off the area.
Efforts to bring the fire under control continued for several hours. The cause of the fire is yet to be established.
