Hyderabad: Panic broke out near Gulzar Houz on Thursday when flames tore through the third floor of a building under Afzalgunj police limits. The fire, which erupted suddenly, triggered a flurry of activity as smoke choked the surrounding lanes.
Locals spotted the blaze first and wasted no time alerting emergency services. Within minutes, fire brigade crews arrived – four engines in total. Flames were brought under control with some effort, and nearby shops were protected with quick precautionary moves by officials.
The big relief? All six people trapped inside were pulled out safely by the fire crew. No injuries, no deaths.
Still, the air was thick with smoke for a good while after. The cause of the fire? Still unknown.
