HYDERABAD: A fire broke out at a plastic glass manufacturing unit in Prashanti Nagar, Kukatpally, on Sunday night. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as the factory was closed for the weekend, and no workers were present at the time of the incident.
The fire started around 9:30 PM due to a short circuit. Local residents noticed the flames spreading and immediately alerted the fire department.
Firefighters Take Two Hours to Control the Blaze
Two fire engines were dispatched to the location, and fire personnel worked for nearly two hours to bring the flames under control. Since the factory dealt with plastic materials, the fire spread rapidly, making it challenging to douse.
According to preliminary estimates, property damage worth approximately ₹10 lakh was reported. Kukatpally police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
