Hyderabad: A major fire broke out early Monday morning at Sagar Complex in Jambagh, Gowliguda, but all 18 residents trapped inside the building were safely rescued, officials said.
Fire on first floor of mixed-use building
The fire started around 4:45 a.m. on the first floor of the G+3 structure with a penthouse. The ground and first floors were used for business purposes, while the upper floors housed residents.
Firefighters from the Gowliguda station, including a water bowser unit, rushed to the spot and launched rescue operations.
18 residents rescued safely
Officials confirmed that 18 residents were trapped inside but were safely evacuated by fire personnel. No injuries or loss of life were reported.
Additional support came from the Yakutpura MPT unit, a fire robot, and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).
Operation led by district fire officer
The fire was completely extinguished, and the entire firefighting and rescue operation was supervised by District Fire Officer T. Venkanna.
