Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police’s Commissioner’s Task Force (South Zone), alongside Falaknuma Police, has arrested five individuals suspected of conspiring to murder a rival after his release on parole, seizing ₹40,000 and mobile phones during the operation.
The accused, all Hyderabad residents, were identified as Syed Faiyaz (39), Syed Zaffer Uddin alias Abbu (40), Mohd Khaleeluddin (30), Mohd Ibrahim (30), and Syed Younus alias Ajju (28). Faiyaz, who runs a real estate business and is allegedly involved in illegal land settlements, is reported to have paid the group ₹40,000 in advance from a total ₹15 lakh to eliminate a man known as Mujahid alias Mujju who had recently been released on parole following incarceration for a prior murder.
The Task Force and Falaknuma Police acted on credible information about the plot approved under section 61(2)(a) of the BNS. The conspirators and seized items have been handed over to Falaknuma Police, with case number Cr. No. 268/2025 registered. Investigation is ongoing.
The arrests were overseen by Inspector S. Raghavendra of the South Zone Task Force and Inspector K. Adi Reddy of Falaknuma PS, supported by SIs Naveen, Samiuz Zama, M. Mahesh, and their teams.
