Flood inflows continue into Srisailam reservoir

Hyderabad: Floodwaters continued to flow into the Srisailam reservoir on Wednesday, with inflows from Jurala touching 83,224 cusecs.

Officials said the full reservoir level is 885 feet, while the current water level stands at 875.2 feet. Out of a total storage capacity of 215.8 tmcft, the present storage is 164.7 tmcft.

Hydropower generation is in progress at both the right bank and left bank power stations, according to authorities. Around 35,315 cusecs of water is being released downstream to Nagarjunasagar after power generation, they added.
