Hyderabad: Magam Ranga Reddy, a former Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) and a prominent figure in the state’s political landscape, passed away on Wednesday following a heart attack. He was 67.
Family sources said his funeral would take place at Shamirpet in Medchal-Malkajgiri district on Thursday. Ranga Reddy, a Congress leader, was known for his close association with former Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Having served one term in the Legislative Council representing the Congress party, Ranga Reddy earned respect across political lines. Leaders from various parties extended their condolences, acknowledging his contributions to public life.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy, BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, and TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud expressed their grief over his demise, praying for strength to his family and eternal peace to his soul.
