Hyderabad: Four people died and three others were seriously injured in a road accident in Palnadu district.
The incident occurred near Shivapuram in Vinukonda mandal when a mini lorry carrying papayas was hit by an oncoming lorry. Three people died on the spot. One more person died while being shifted to hospital.
The remaining three sustained serious injuries.
Police reached the scene and began rescue operations. The injured were moved to hospital. Their condition is reported to be critical.
All the deceased were from Gaddamidapalle in Yerragondapalem mandal of Prakasam district.
A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
