Hyderabad: Telangana reported four separate tragic incidents on Thursday, including two fatal road accidents, an electrocution case, and a farmer’s suicide, leaving families in shock and villages in mourning.
Young man killed in road accident at Chintalkunta
A 25-year-old man, identified as Saikiran from Kudabhakshipalli in Marrigudem mandal of Nalgonda district, died in a road accident at Chintalkunta near Westside shopping mall on the Vijayawada–Hyderabad National Highway around 1 a.m. Police said patrolling officers found him unconscious on the roadside and shifted him to Vanasthalipuram Area Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Saikiran was working a private job while living at HUDA Complex in Kothapet. His body was later shifted to Osmania Hospital for post-mortem.
Five-year-old girl crushed under school bus in Nalgonda
A five-year-old girl, Jaswitha, from Thoragallu village in Kanagal mandal, died after being run over by her school bus in Nalgonda town. Police said she was alighting from the vehicle at Master Mind Private School when the driver, without noticing her, moved the bus forward. The child came under the wheels and died instantly. Angry relatives blamed the driver’s negligence for the accident. Local police visited the scene and registered a case.
Woman dies of electrocution in Nawabpet mandal
In another incident, a 40-year-old woman identified as Kenche Kishtamma from Jangamayyapalli village in Nawabpet mandal died of electrocution. Police said she accidentally came in contact with an electric fence installed around an agricultural field to protect crops. Her body was discovered by farm workers on Thursday morning. Kishtamma, who had been missing for three days, is survived by two sons.
Debt-ridden farmer dies by suicide in Serila
In Serila village of Veldurthi mandal, a 35-year-old farmer, Mirjapalli Babu, died by suicide due to mounting debts. Villagers said he had recently taken loans while building a house. On Thursday morning, he was found hanging from a tree near his field. He is survived by his wife Shekamma, a son, and a daughter. Police registered a case based on his wife’s complaint.
