Hyderabad: IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu on Sunday said the Telangana government would transform Bharat Future City into a global business hub and a model for urban planning worldwide.
He delivered these remarks during the foundation ceremony for the Bharat Future City Development Authority (FCDA) building and Greenfield Radial Road-1 at Mirkhanpet in Rangareddy district. According to him, the government has taken decisive steps to attract international companies to the city.
“Earlier, people mentioned Chandigarh when they discussed planned cities. Soon, they will cite Bharat Future City instead,” Sridhar Babu said. He called it a benchmark for future-ready infrastructure.
The Minister explained that the city’s design follows a “live-learn-work-play” model. It will combine housing, industries, schools, hospitals, shopping malls, and entertainment within one integrated space. Moreover, all elements will meet international standards.
He emphasised the long-term vision behind the project. “Today’s foundation is not just for buildings. It lays the ground for our children’s future,” he said.
Future City to combine global industry with green innovation
Sridhar Babu confirmed that the city would function as a Net Zero Carbon zone. He said the government would support industrial growth without damaging the environment. Therefore, the plan includes ample greenery and strict pollution controls.
He urged people to participate in the project’s development. “This people’s government is working with sincerity for Telangana’s tomorrow. Join us in building Bharat Future City. Let’s grow together,” he said.
