Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Gachibowli lineman bribe accused A. Srikanth Goud on Friday after catching him red-handed while accepting money from a complainant.
Demand and trap
Goud, a junior lineman in the Gachibowli division, allegedly demanded ₹30,000 from a resident to change wiring at his house and to unseal and seal the electricity meter. He accepted ₹11,000 as part payment when ACB officials laid the trap.
Officials recovered the bribe amount at his instance. The ACB stated that Goud acted dishonestly and misused his public duty for personal gain.
Arrest and remand
The lineman was taken into custody and produced before court. He has been sent to judicial remand, and the case is under investigation.

The ACB urged citizens to report bribe demands to its toll-free number 1064. Complaints can also be lodged through WhatsApp (9440446106), Facebook (Telangana ACB), or X/Twitter (@TelanganaACB). Authorities assured that complainants’ details will remain confidential.
