Hyderabad: As Gachibowli Stadium gears up to host the upcoming Miss World pageant, GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan conducted an early morning inspection on Friday, directing officials to enforce robust preparations across the board.
Accompanied by Zonal Commissioner Bokade Hemanth Sahadev Rao, Karnan instructed sanitation teams to prioritise cleanliness in and around the stadium. He stressed the deployment of additional sanitation workers to ensure round-the-clock hygiene throughout the duration of the event.
The Commissioner also called for intensified promotional efforts. He asked the Advertising Additional Commissioner Venu Gopal Reddy to ensure that event-related information is clearly visible around the venue, with banners and public-facing materials set up strategically in nearby areas.
During the visit, Karnan emphasised that all departments must coordinate to present a clean, organised, and welcoming environment for the international event. Officials have been told to remain on high alert and ready to address any civic concerns as the pageant approaches.
Others present during the inspection included Deputy Commissioner Prashanthi and key zonal and advertisement officials.
