Hyderabad: Heavy inflows triggered by incessant rains in Maharashtra and Telangana pushed large volumes of water into the Gaddenna vagu project on Friday. Authorities reported an inflow of 30,000 cusecs and released 37,000 cusecs downstream through five floodgates.
The water level in the reservoir stood at 358.65 metres against the full reservoir level of 358.70 metres. Officials said the project’s total storage capacity was 1.83 TMC, of which 1.77 TMC had already been filled.
