HYDERABAD: A tragic road accident occurred in Gadwal district around midnight on Thursday, claiming two lives and leaving four others critically injured.
The incident took place near Priyadarshi Hotel on National Highway 44 in Itikyala mandal, when a car lost control and overturned. The vehicle was en route from Hyderabad to Nandyal, with a family travelling to attend a celebratory function.
According to reports, the car was carrying six passengers at the time of the crash. Among them, a couple—Pullareddy and Lakshmisubbamma—died on the spot. The remaining four injured passengers were immediately transported to Kurnool Government Hospital by a highway ambulance and a 108 emergency vehicle.
Sources indicate that the condition of the injured remains critical. The family was reportedly led by a man named Dharmareddy, who was travelling with his relatives when the accident occurred.
