Hyderabad: With over 1,500 outpatients crowding its corridors daily, Gandhi Hospital has finally rolled out an online registration system to ease the strain. The move is aimed at cutting down those long, slow-moving queues at the OP counter.
Patients can now book OP tokens right from home using the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) app. Once downloaded, users can register using their Aadhaar number. An OTP gets sent to the Aadhaar-linked mobile, and an ABHA number is generated. That ID becomes your digital health passport across all government hospitals going forward.
Everything from which doctor you saw, what tests were done, to what medicines were prescribed—gets logged into your account automatically. No paperwork, no hassle.
At Gandhi Hospital, those who arrive with a pre-booked token just need to give their number at the counter and receive their OP slip instantly no waiting. For those who haven’t yet tried it, boards have been put up near the OP registration counters explaining how to use the app. Hospital staff are also guiding walk-in patients through the process.
