Traffic diversions imposed for Ganesh immersion processions

Hyderabad: Police have imposed daily Ganesh immersion traffic diversions across Hyderabad from August 29 to September 5, beginning 3 PM until late night. The restrictions are intended to ensure smooth conduct of idol processions during the immersion period.

Traffic from Karbala Maidan will not be allowed towards Upper Tankbund at the Sailing Club โ€˜Tโ€™ Junction. Instead, vehicles must proceed via Kavadiguda X Roads, DBR Mills, Indira Park, and either Ambedkar Statue or Telugu Talli Flyover.

Similarly, traffic heading towards Panjagutta will be diverted from Ranigunj through Minister Road and Begumpet. Vehicles moving from Panjagutta or Raj Bhavan to NTR Marg will need to use Nirankari, Old PS Saifabad, and Iqbal Minar instead.

Ganesh immersion traffic diversions reroute vehicles across Tankbund and central city arteries

At Telugu Talli Junction, traffic from Ambedkar Statue will be diverted towards Iqbal Minar. Vehicles from Iqbal Minar attempting to reach Tankbund via the flyover will be rerouted through Katta Maisamma, DBR Mills, and Kavadiguda X Road.

Traffic at DBR Mills will be diverted from Katta Maisamma and Dhobi Ghat towards Kavadiguda X Road. Likewise, traffic approaching Kavadiguda X Road from Musheerabad or Jabbar Complex will be sent to DBR Mills.

From Minister Road, vehicles will not be allowed to access Nallagutta Bridge and must move towards Karbala. At Nallagutta X Roads near Buddha Bhavan, traffic will be redirected to Minister Road.

According to Hyderabad Police, additional restrictions will be enforced dynamically based on traffic conditions at key intersections. Commuters have been advised to avoid Tank Bund and adjoining routes during procession hours and follow designated diversions.
