HYDERABAD, January 30, 2025: Former BRS MLA Gangiidi Sunitha has sharply criticised the Congress party, accusing it of failing to fulfil the 420 promises it made to the people of Telangana. Speaking to the media at Telangana Bhavan, Sunitha likened the Congress to a ‘Char Sau Bees’ (420) party, claiming it has betrayed the people of the state.

Sunitha stated that Congress leaders, whom she referred to as ‘thief Gandhis,’ misled the public with false declarations and brought the party to power. She noted that on the 420th day of Congress’ rule, BRS leaders had submitted petitions at Gandhi statues, urging for divine wisdom to be granted to the Congress leadership.

According to her, while KCR (Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao) follows Gandhian values, Congress has disregarded these principles. Sunitha pointed out the government’s failure in key areas such as the Farmer Assurance Scheme, loan waivers, and ration cards, calling Congress’ performance a total failure.

She also highlighted the party’s unfulfilled job creation promise, accusing Rahul Gandhi of misleading unemployed youth by pledging two lakh jobs in a year without delivering even a fraction of that.

Furthermore, Sunitha criticised Congress leaders for spreading false propaganda that KCR was the only one providing jobs, while Congress had failed in this regard. She expressed concern over the lack of facilities in gurukulas (residential schools), the suffering of students and their parents, and the growing distress among farmers, particularly with fertiliser shortages. In conclusion, she urged that the Congress leadership be guided to implement the promises it made, calling on the nation’s founder Mahatma Gandhi to intervene.
