HYDERABAD: In a surprise raid in Edulapuram municipality limits of Khammam district, authorities seized 5.80 kilograms of ganja-laced chocolates. The operation was led by Excise Inspector B. Chandramohan.
The contraband was discovered at the residence of B. Hariya during a search conducted near the Vinayak Granite Factory in Gurlapadu. According to officials, the accused had procured the ganja chocolates from Odisha and was selling them locally.
The suspect was taken into custody and has been remanded. The raid underscores ongoing efforts by enforcement agencies to crack down on the illicit drug trade in the region.
