HYDERABAD: In a major crackdown on drug smuggling, the Maheshwaram Special Operations Team (SOT) and Abdullapurmet police seized 300 kg of ganja worth ₹1 crore. The contraband was recovered from a container vehicle in the Abdullapurmet police limits, located in Ranga Reddy district.
Acting on specific intelligence, the police intercepted the vehicle and apprehended the suspect involved in the transportation of the narcotic substance. Authorities are currently investigating the case to identify the broader network behind the illegal trade.
With the increasing focus on curbing drug trafficking, police have intensified surveillance in the region. Further action against those involved in the smuggling operation is expected as the investigation progresses.
