ACB officials arrested GHMC Bill Collector Siddi Madhu for demanding a Rs 45,000 bribe through his associate V. Ramesh to prevent a property tax increase on a factory.
HYDERABAD: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has caught Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Bill Collector Siddi Madhu red-handed while demanding a Rs 45,000 bribe in Rajendranagar Circle. He allegedly sought the bribe through his associate V. Ramesh from a complainant to prevent an increase in property tax on the complainant’s factory.
ACB officials recovered the bribe amount from the accused. Both Siddi Madhu and his associate V. Ramesh were presented before the ACB Special Court, which remanded them to judicial custody. Further investigations are underway.
