Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner and District Election Officer R.V. Karnan on Tuesday met with representatives of various political parties to review arrangements for the Jubilee Hills by-election.
The meeting, held at the GHMC head office, included key officials such as Hyderabad Joint Commissioner of Police Tafseer Iqbal, Additional Election Commissioner Hemanth Keshav Patil, and Returning Officer P. Sairam.
During the meeting, Karnan directed party leaders to follow all guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India. He stressed that campaign activities must comply with the Model Code of Conduct to ensure fair and transparent elections.
“The Model Code of Conduct guarantees an impartial election. All parties must cooperate and avoid violations,” Karnan said. He added that authorities would register criminal cases against anyone who breaks the code.
