Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner R.V. Karnan directed zonal, circle, and ward-level officials to maintain constant surveillance over accident-prone areas and remain on high alert for the next three days.
On Thursday morning, Karnan toured Rajendranagar Circle along with Zonal Commissioner Srinivas Reddy, the Deputy Commissioner, and other officials. He inspected flood-prone and low-lying areas, including Jalpally Lake, reviewing on-ground preparations for public safety during the monsoon.
The Commissioner instructed teams to identify waterlogged zones and ensure immediate clearance. He asked officials to coordinate with traffic police to maintain smooth vehicular movement at waterlogging points. He stressed that dangerous spots should be monitored round-the-clock to prevent mishaps.
