Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan on Tuesday conducted a detailed field review of infrastructure works planned around KBR Park, as part of Hyderabad’s H-City initiative aimed at improving traffic flow and urban mobility.
The initiative targets major congestion zones, including seven high-traffic junctions near KBR Park. Planned works include 4.6 km of flyovers and 2.8 km of underpasses, intended to ease traffic bottlenecks across Jubilee Hills and adjacent corridors.
Karnan inspected the stretch between Jubilee Hills Road No. 2 and Jubilee Hills Check Post. He directed engineering teams to fast-track land acquisition and begin groundwork without delay, while ensuring strict quality standards. He also instructed close coordination with the Traffic Police to implement effective traffic diversion plans during execution.
“These projects reflect Hyderabad’s long-term vision for sustainable and efficient urban transport,” Karnan said. He emphasized the importance of timely delivery with minimal disruption to daily commuters.
Zonal Commissioner Anuraag Jayanthi, Chief Engineer Bhaskar Reddy, and Jubilee Hills Deputy Commissioner V. Sammaiah accompanied the inspection and reviewed technical plans with the Commissioner.
