Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has announced that all Property Tax and Trade Licence services are now available online through its official website https://www.ghmc.gov.in. The civic body said the step marks a major push towards digital governance and citizen convenience.
GHMC expands online property tax services
With this move, citizens can now use GHMC’s online platform to complete tasks from home instead of visiting an office. They can log in, enter their PTIN, TIN, or VLTN, and upload sale deeds and other required documents. After submission, officials will verify the applications and approve them as needed.
Moreover, several services were already available online, including self-assessment of property tax, revision of tax, exemption for ex-servicemen, updating of mobile numbers, correction of owner or door details, and vacancy remission.
New digital features for faster service
In addition, GHMC introduced new services to make online transactions easier. These include online mutation of property and vacant land tax, blocking of duplicate property tax numbers, and blocking of duplicate trade licence numbers for closed businesses.
Furthermore, the civic body urged citizens to make use of the online system for quick and transparent service delivery. Officials added that the change supports GHMC’s larger goal of digital transformation and smoother civic processes.
