Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) repaired 19,380 potholes across the city by October 31 as part of its road safety and maintenance drive. The civic body had identified 20,882 potholes for repair under this programme.
GHMC pothole repairs progress across six zones
In a statement issued on Friday, GHMC officials said they completed 913 catch pit repairs, 461 cover replacements, and 14 central median repairs, along with the pothole works.
Teams in the LB Nagar zone repaired 3,501 potholes, while the Charminar zone fixed 2,832. In the Khairatabad zone, workers filled 3,329 potholes, followed by 2,194 in Serilingampally. The Kukatpally zone repaired 2,922, and Secunderabad topped the list with 4,602, bringing the total to 19,380.
Officials said they would complete the remaining pothole repairs soon to ensure safer and smoother roads across Hyderabad.
