Hyderabad: The Justice P.C. Ghose Commission, appointed to probe alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram irrigation project, is set to submit its final report to the Telangana government on July 31.
Sources confirmed that Commission Chairperson Justice P.C. Ghose arrived in Hyderabad on Sunday and spent the day finalising the report. The panel’s term is scheduled to end on the same date.
Detailed Probe into BRS-era Project
The commission has been investigating financial and technical irregularities in the construction of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme and associated barrages Medigadda, Annaram, and Sundilla.
Over several months, the commission examined project agencies, engineers, and top officials from the previous BRS government. Former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, ex-Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao, and former Finance Minister Etela Rajender were among those summoned for clarification on construction details and fund allocations.
Final Report Ready for Submission
With its inquiry concluded, the commission is preparing to submit the report before the end of its term. The findings are expected to include observations on construction quality, project execution, and financial oversight.
The report will be handed over to the state government for further action.
