HYDERABAD: In a tragic incident, a 14-year-old girl from Bengaluru died after accidentally consuming pesticide, mistaking it for aloe vera juice. The deceased, Deepanjali, was reportedly in the habit of regularly drinking aloe vera juice for health purposes.
On the day of the incident, Deepanjali, as usual, picked up a bottle from home that she believed contained aloe vera juice and consumed it. However, her parents had earlier reused the same bottle to store a pesticide liquid after the juice had finished, unaware that she might use it again.
Unaware of the change, Deepanjali drank the pesticide, leading to severe health complications. Her parents, realising what had happened, rushed her to the hospital. Despite medical efforts, Deepanjali succumbed while undergoing treatment.
The incident has left her family devastated and in deep grief.
