Hyderabad: Telangana Forest and Endowments Minister Konda Surekha on Saturday said the Congress government remained committed to the welfare of the low-income groups and accused opposition parties of targeting the administration purely for political survival.
She made the remarks while interacting with residents at her home in Ramnagar, Hanamkonda, where she received public petitions and appeals.
Surekha alleged that the previous government had showcased development only through flashy brochures and promotional videos. In contrast, she said the Congress government was delivering results directly at the grassroots.
She added that the opposition has failed to acknowledge ongoing local development and continues to criticise the government without basis. “They don’t see the work being done on the ground because their focus is on political relevance,” she said.
Calling field-level resolution of grievances a hallmark of public governance, Surekha promised to remain accessible to citizens at all times. She also said that under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership, Warangal would be developed further.
Officials attended the public interaction program.
