Hyderabad: Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Monday announced that the Telangana government would fully support the development of Jubilee Hills. He made the statement while launching civic works worth over ₹2 crore.
The event took place in Vinayak Nagar and Sheikpet. It marked the start of CC roads, a VDCC road, and park restoration projects under Yusufguda Circle. Sheikpet works total ₹1.05 crore; Yusufguda’s share stands at ₹1.11 crore.
Joining Rao were Labour Minister G. Vivek Venkatswamy and GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi. Together, they laid foundation stones for the proposed works.
Minister Rao emphasized that CM Revanth Reddy’s government was serious about fulfilling promises. Unlike previous regimes, he said, the administration had focused sharply on urban infrastructure. “We are pushing hard to improve civic conditions across Hyderabad,” he said.
Vivek Venkatswamy stated that quick delivery of basic services was now a priority. He asked officials to speed up work on roads, drains, and street lighting. “Public trust must translate into visible progress,” he added.
Meanwhile, Mayor Vijayalakshmi pointed out that major upgrades were already underway across Greater Hyderabad. She encouraged corporators to submit pending proposals directly to her or the in-charge minister for quick action.
She said the government aimed to turn Jubilee Hills and the entire urban area into a national benchmark for civic planning. “Every public representative must cooperate to reach that goal,” she said.
Several senior officials attended the function, including GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan and District Collector Dasari Hari Chandana. Local corporators, deputy commissioners, colony leaders, youth, and women’s groups were also present.
