Hyderabad: The Government of India has announced GST reforms 2025 aimed at empowering youth, promoting fitness, and easing living standards. These reforms align with national initiatives like the Fit India Movement and youth mobility drives.
The reforms reduce GST on gyms, bicycles, sports goods, two-wheelers, and small cars, bringing direct benefits to young citizens.
GST reforms 2025: lower taxes on fitness, transport, and sports goods
Fitness centres now attract 5% GST instead of 18%. This cut will encourage more people, especially youth, to adopt healthier lifestyles. Bicycles and their parts now carry 5% GST, supporting eco-friendly mobility.
Sports goods and toys shifted from 12% to 5%, making sports more accessible. Two-wheelers up to 350cc now face 18% GST instead of 28%, reducing costs for students and gig workers.
Small cars also moved to the 18% slab, helping young families and first-time buyers.
