HYDERABAD: Harish Rao has openly criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s governance, accusing him of inconsistent statements and policy decisions that have allegedly led to economic losses and public distrust.
Allegations of Inconsistent Governance
Harish Rao accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of making inconsistent statements and failing to deliver on key promises during his first year in office. He claimed that the Chief Minister’s governance has been marked by broken commitments and shifting narratives. He remarked that Revanth Reddy has “mastered the art of changing his words, earning a Ph.D. in it.” He accused the Chief Minister of halting the Rythu Bandhu scheme, which provides financial aid to farmers, during the election period and shifting the blame onto others. He further claimed that even during challenging times, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the previous administration ensured the continuation of Rythu Bandhu, whereas under Revanth Reddy’s leadership, farmers have been left in the lurch.
Criticism Over Formula E Event Cancellation
Harish Rao criticized Revanth Reddy for falsely alleging ₹600 crore corruption in the Formula E racing event. He stated that the event generated ₹700 crore in revenue, and the cancellation led to significant economic losses. He also noted that the abrupt cancellation of the event caused significant losses, prompting a case against the Telangana government in London. Harish Rao expressed concerns that if the case is lost, it would further damage Telangana’s reputation on the global stage.
Concerns Over Water Resource Management
Harish Rao criticized Revanth Reddy for his silence on Andhra Pradesh’s alleged illegal diversion of Krishna water and warned of potential adverse effects on Telangana’s irrigation and drinking water needs.
