Harish Rao appreciated the organisers for arranging the Ganga Harathi with priests from Kashi. Furthermore, he said, “This ritual, which normally happens on the Ganga banks, made Siddipet feel like Kashi today.”
He reminded people that Dasara symbolises the victory of good over evil and justice over injustice. In addition, he asked families to tie Jammi leaves and seek blessings as part of the festival.
While speaking on development, Harish Rao recalled projects like the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation, Ranganayaka Sagar, a medical college, and the Siddipet railway line. At the same time, he acknowledged that business and real estate face a slowdown. Therefore, he prayed for prosperity and better days for Telangana.
Finally, Harish Rao underlined that festivals unite people beyond caste and religion. “We celebrate Bathukamma across the world. Along with education, children must learn our traditions,” he said, wishing greenery and happiness for the state.
