Hyderabad: BRS MLA and former minister Harish Rao urged Telangana chief secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao to provide him copies of the 665-page report submitted by the Justice P.C. Ghosh Commission on the Kaleshwaram project.
Meeting the chief secretary at the state secretariat on Friday along with other BRS leaders, he handed over two written requests — one on behalf of former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and another in his own name.
Harish Rao said that, since the commission had examined him during its inquiry, he wanted access to the full findings on Kaleshwaram project. The state government had constituted the commission to probe alleged irregularities in the construction of three barrages under the multi-stage irrigation project.

The Justice P.C. Ghosh Commission recently submitted its report to the state government, which the cabinet approved on Monday. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had announced that the findings would be placed before the assembly for discussion. Rao’s formal request to obtain the report comes amid political attention on the project’s execution and the inquiry’s conclusions.
