HYDERABAD: Former minister and BRS senior leader T. Harish Rao has said that people across Telangana are eager to see K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) return to power, expressing deep dissatisfaction with the current administration under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Speaking after attending a special puja at the Siddhi Vinayak Temple in Patancheru—organised following a padayatra by constituency in-charge Adarsh Reddy—Harish Rao criticised the Congress-led government, describing its governance as disorganised and unreliable.
“Revanth Reddy’s rule is all confusion”
Harish Rao launched a scathing attack on the Chief Minister, saying, “Revanth Reddy’s rule is all about half-finished, confused actions. Be it Musi river rejuvenation or the Hyderabad development promises, nothing has been fulfilled. He vowed to waive off farm loans by Independence Day, swearing on gods, but failed to deliver. Now registration offices lie empty, with no visitors and no income.”
He contrasted this with the BRS regime, claiming that real estate thrived under KCR while it has slumped under Revanth Reddy due to policies like RR tax hikes. “He opposed Metro Rail expansion and the Pharma City project. Is this the kind of Telangana people wanted?” he asked.
“KCR made Telangana number one”
Citing achievements under BRS, Harish Rao said that power holidays were a regular feature in Patancheru’s industrial area until KCR ensured uninterrupted 24-hour electricity. “KCR transformed Telangana into the number one state in the country. States like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu used to request us for rice,” he said, adding that Telangana became the nation’s ‘Annapurna’ (provider of food) under KCR’s leadership.
Call to mobilise for April 27 Warangal rally
Harish Rao assured party workers that every individual’s contribution would be recognised and protected by the BRS. He urged them to ensure a massive turnout from Patancheru constituency for the upcoming BRS public meeting in Warangal on April 27.
“The party will stand by every worker who toiled for its growth. I take full responsibility for ensuring that all workers are duly honoured. Let us make the Warangal meeting a grand success,” he said.
